Dr Liz Robin - Director of Public Health

Dr Liz Robin is Director of Public Health for Cambridgeshire County Council and Peterborough City Council, and a co-opted member of the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Clinical Commissioning Group Governing Body. She leads a public health team which provides specialist public health advice to both Councils and to local NHS organisations. She is also responsible for commissioning local public health programmes such as smoking cessation services, weight management services, sexual health and contraception clinics and health promotion campaigns. 

Liz started her public health career while still at school - with summer jobs for the Dunn Nutrition Institute in Cambridge, and their field research unit in the Gambia. She trained in medicine at Oxford University and Westminster Medical School and after working as a hospital doctor went on to train in public health in East London. She became Director of Public Health (DPH) for East Cambridgeshire and Fenland in 2002, for Cambridgeshire in 2006, and for Peterborough (in addition to Cambridgeshire) in 2015.
