Nikki Pasek - Lay Member (Patient and Public Participation)

Nikki has more than 20 years' experience working in local government.  She previously worked as the Head of the Supporting Business and Communities service at Cambridgeshire County Council so has experience developing services for the public. 

Nikki recognises the importance of working in partnership with local communities to understand their needs in order to develop and deliver improved services.  During her time at Cambridgeshire County Council, the authority was awarded Beacon status for the work she led in cutting red tape for local businesses. 

More recently she worked as a commercial director and now runs her own consultancy company providing support for a number of community development projects.  She is leading the work on the Friends Against Scams initiative, on behalf of the National Trading Standards Scams Team, which aims to protect and prevent people from becoming victims of scams.

Nikki was named The Guardian’s Public Servant of the Year in 2004 and was awarded an MBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honours in 2010 for her services to communities and businesses in Cambridgeshire.
