Stephen Mitcham is a Lay Member of the Board, supporting all areas of the community we serve. Having been born in the Fens, lived in Huntingdonshire for 30 plus years and worked in Cambridge for most of his professional career he is well aware of the varying needs of the local communities.
Stephen was Chief Executive of Cambridge Building Society for over 12 years and in later years held the position of Chairman of the Building Societies Association, the trade body representing the wider building society sector.
Alongside his Lay Member role Stephen is also a director of a technology company that provides IT systems for mutual financial service organisations.
