Job advert: Governing Body Lay Member - Assurance

NHS Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) is recruiting for a Lay Member to join our Governing Body.

Job Title: Governing Body Lay Member - Assurance

Tenure: Two to three years, to be agreed on appointment

Time Commitment: 3.5 days per month

Remuneration:£13,136.00 per annum

Interview Date: Thursday 26 September 2019

The Lay Member – Assurance will have a sound understanding of assurance processes and financial and performance management; have an understanding of the resource allocations devolved to NHS bodies and a general knowledge of the financial framework within which a CCG operates; have a strong commercial background and have the ability to chair meetings effectively. The Lay Member Assurance will chair the Remuneration and Terms of Service Committee and be Vice Chair of the Primary Care Commissioning Committee.

The CCG is responsible for the planning, organising and purchasing of over £1billion worth of healthcare locally.  As a clinically led organisation with 300 employed staff and 88 Member GP Practices, our organisation is complex and one of the largest CCGs in the country with a patient population of circa 980,000.
