Non-Emergency Patient Transport Services (NEPTS) engagement report (updated)

In the summer of 2021 we asked members of the public, including patients and carers, as well as partner organisations to submit their views regarding Non-Emergency Transport Services (NEPTS) in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough. We would like to offer our thanks to everyone who took the time to share their feedback.

The initial engagement exercise was designed to gather initial thoughts and views that will feed into the new procurement process. Following the conclusion of this initial engagement, the CCG produced an engagement report which summarised the feedback received and sets out next steps. You can access this report here.

Update: May 2022

In order to allow us to review the service requirements and service specification together with partner organisations in health and social care, a decision has been made to extend the current NEPTS contract with East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust (EEAST) until 31 March 2023.

In the coming months we will carry out a more in-depth review the service requirements and specification, which will ensure that the NEPTS contract going forward is fit for purpose and meets the needs of our local patients within budgetary constraints.

We will continue to publish information on the NEPTS procurement process as appropriate via our new Integrated Care System website at www.cpics.org.uk.
