The Patient Reference Group

The CCG is committed to ensuring that the patient voice helps us to design future healthcare services.

We recognise that empowered clinical leadership must go hand in hand with strong patient and public leadership, and patients should have the opportunity to work closely alongside the organisation.

The Patient Reference Group (PRG) is a formal sub group of the CCG Governing Body. It is chaired by the Governing Body Lay Member for Patient and Public Participation and an update from the group is included at Governing Body meetings.

The focus of the PRG is on providing an independent view of the work of the CCG. It helps to ensure that, in all aspects of the CCG’s business, the voice of the local population is heard.

If you are interested in learning more about the PRG please contact the Communications and Engagement Team on 03300 571021 or email us
