New Cancer Wellbeing & Support Centre - Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) King's Lynn

The new Cancer Wellbeing & Support Centre at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital is open to provide vital information and support to anyone who has been affected by cancer.  The Centre is run by the Macmillan Information & Support Service Managers, Vicky and Caroline.

They offer a welcoming, friendly environment for patients, families and carers to come in and talk about what matters to them, at all stages of their cancer journey.  In addition, they can provide extra support and resource to GP and primary care colleagues.

The services being provided in the Centre include:

  • Specialist cancer information and support
  • Benefits advice, financial support and signposting
  • Practical support
  • Lifestyle advice (healthy eating, exercise - prehab and rehab)
  • Self help and support groups
  • Hair and skincare advice

In addition to the above services, they will also be offering in the near future:

  • Complementary therapies
  • Counselling services

Some of these services will require a booked appointment, others are operated as a drop-in service.

They are there to provide cancer support to you, your patients, their families and carers.  Please make use of their service and refer your cancer patients and their loved ones on to them for ongoing support.

For further information, or if you have any queries, please call Vicky or Caroline on 01553 613985 or 01553 214547.
