Consultation on the re-procurement of the NHS Diabetes Prevention Programme – is now open!
The current NHS DPP Framework Agreement was put in place in April 2016 and expires in March 2019. NHS England are now consulting on proposals relating to the re-procurement of the NHS DPP Framework from November 2018 running for three years with the option to extend for a further year.
The online survey for primary care and local health economies to share their views is now open. These surveys are open until 30 April 2018. Diabetes UK are leading on the public consultation which is open for patients and the public contribution until May 2018.
Providing Work Experience – Future Talent
Many of our GP practices provide work experience as an opportunity for young people to learn more about the workplace and as a form of talent-pipelining for the future. Attached is a factsheet that suggests skills that a young person could bring to a placement that would add value to practice, guidance from Health Education England (HEE) and an example timetable.

NHS England to transform mental health care for military veterans across the country
On 1 April NHS England launched the Veterans’ Mental Health Complex Treatment Service (VMH CTS).
The service provides a range of intensive care and treatment that may include support for substance misuse, physical health, employment, accommodation, relationships and finances, as well as occupational and trauma focused therapies.
