CCG 360° Stakeholder Survey

Our relationship with our members is central to our success, therefore if you have been sent a survey request by Ipsos Mori we would greatly appreciate your participation. The survey closes on Friday 23 February.
For action: GP Information Governance Toolkit 2017/18 - 51 days to go
Reminder: Information Governance Toolkits
Please remember that v14.1 of your Information Governance Toolkit is due for submission by 31 March 2018.
So far, 69% of Cambridgeshire and Peterborough member practices have started or completed their toolkit this year. Please remember that you must ‘publish’ your toolkit in order to complete the process. A guide on how to complete the process through to publication is on the website here.
Annual completion of the Toolkit demonstrates to the Information Commissioner’s Office that your practice complies with its legal obligations. The CQC will also be able to view whether a submission has been made. With effect from 1 February 2015, the ICO has had the power to enforce an audit of GP surgeries under section 41A of the Data Protection Act (DPA). Please also check to ensure your Data Protection Registration has not expired.
The CCG's IG Team will run regular uptake reports until the end of March and any individual reminders required will be sent via the CCG's Primary Care Team.
The Toolkit can be found at: https://www.igt.hscic.gov.uk/Home.aspx
If you have any questions please contact the CCG’s IG team on CAPCCG.Infogov@nhs.net or telephone 01223 7254451.
Reminder: Diabetes Nurse and GP Leads - closing date Thursday 15 February 2018
We are looking to attract well-respected and forward thinking GPs and Practice Nurses who are passionate about ensuring we have sustainable health care for people with diabetes in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough. These locality based roles will directly support the transformation of diabetes services, ensuring access and value for money to best suit the needs of local people. The clinical leads will support with practice engagement with the overall diabetes programme and ensure we have strong representation from primary care.
Ensuring we have sustainable health care is at the heart of Cambridgeshire and Peterborough’s Sustainability and Transformation Partnership (STP) for the current and future health and care system. The diabetes locality clinical lead roles are exciting opportunities for a GP or Practice Nurse to lead on planning for, and the development of, sustainable health services, in particular patient pathways.
Cambridgeshire and Peterborough STP has been successful in securing national funding for improving care for people with diabetes. The funding was awarded to support three main areas: increasing attendance at diabetes structured education; improving achievement of the NICE recommended treatment targets; and implementation of a multidisciplinary footcare team at the North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust (NWAFT).
Additionally, Cambridgeshire and Peterborough CCG is part of Wave 1 of the National Diabetes Prevention Programme (NHS DPP). As part of this role the diabetes locality clinical leads will provide clinical input into the local programme and help encourage primary care engagement.
We are looking for clinical leads who can work up to one session per week - this can be worked flexibly around other commitments. However availability to attend our bimonthly Diabetes Programme Board meetings, which take place on a Wednesday afternoon, would be beneficial. Remuneration will be £285 per session for a GP lead, and £140 per session for a Practice Nurse, plus travel expenses.
Information about the roles can be found here. In order to apply for one of these roles, please submit a completed Expression of Interest Form alongside an up to date CV to CAPCCG.recruitment@nhs.net before 17:00 on Thursday 15 February 2018. Interviews for this post will be held on the afternoon of Thursday 22 February 2018.
For an informal discussion please contact Dr Mark Brookes, Interim Diabetes Clinical Lead, on mark.brookes@nhs.net, or Sally Berry, Diabetes Programme Manager, on sally.berry1@nhs.net or call 07967 835226.
