Healthwatch Cambridgeshire and Peterborough
Healthwatch are developing their five year plan and need to find out what people think about the work we do and hear their ideas for the future. Healthwatch want to hear from everyone who is interested in helping to make health and care better for people in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough. This includes professionals, patients and patient groups.

We are hosting an expert panel to talk about mental health and listen to people's ideas to improve services. Our panellists include people with lived experience of mental illness, local mental health charities CPSL Mind and the SUN Network, and some of the people who make decisions about these important services. There'll be a chance to ask questions and share your own experiences.
Care Quality Commission (CQC)
The CQC has published Medicines in health and adult social care: Learning from risks and sharing good practice for better outcomes. The report raises important issues for everybody involved with medicines in all health and adult social care settings.
All care providers are being asked to reflect on this report and be aware of the risks, learn from the examples and think about the actions to use medicines safely, effectively and for the most optimal outcomes. The report is available online here and you will be able to follow the conversation by using #MedicinesReport on Twitter.

Ongoing peer support for individuals hearing voices
Anyone hearing voices, seeing visions or having other unusual perceptions is welcome to join one of our Voices Matter groups and access it for as long as they need to. We take self-referrals and professional referrals, also on the phone. The groups are part of the international Hearing Voices movement and follow its ethos. They create safe space, where people can talk about their experience of hearing voices, receive non-judgemental peer support, discuss the strategies of coping with voices or chat about other life issues important to them.
