Clinical Directors
...we are looking for your support to represent Cambridgeshire and Peterborough STP for a November meeting:
Ann Radmore (Regional Director for NHSE&I) and Dr Sean O’Kelly (Regional Medical Director for NHSE&I) would like to welcome a couple of our PCN Clinical Directors to a meeting at Victoria House, Fulbourn, which will be attended by PCN Clinical Directors from all six STPs. Ann and Sean would like to establish a conversation with the Clinical Directors about their PCN work to date and how the region can support this. The meeting will be scheduled in November, in order that the Clinical Directors have had several months in their posts and have become increasingly familiar with their PCN.
We are looking for two Clinical Director volunteers who would like to join this conversation with the region. We expect the meeting to last no more than 2 hours, and will provide the date to the attendees in due course. If you would like to be part of this meeting please email capccg.primarycare@nhs.net

Peterborough Beats Together Event
On behalf of Peterborough City Hospital’s Cardiology Team, we would like to invite you to their first event Peterborough Beats Together event on Saturday 28 September, 9am-12noon at Ferry Meadows Country Meadows (Coney Meadow).
90% of premature deaths from heart disease in Peterborough and the surrounding areas are caused by preventable risk factors. To tackle this, the team is raising awareness of cardiac disease and how simple lifestyle changes could help prevent it.
As part of the event, the team are attempting an official Guinness World Record that will see 500+ people come together to form the image of a pill by holding black and white card above their heads and moving in and out. The image will then be captured from above by a drone.
The event is completely free for everyone to attend but the team will be fundraising throughout the day with all proceeds going towards improving our cardiology services for the local population.
Please would you consider advertising the attached poster in your waiting areas.
