Home oxygen should only be ordered by Healthcare Professionals trained in oxygen prescription(s) and use.

The current provider for Home Oxygen in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough is BOC.

Prior to oxygen being ordered from the oxygen supplier via the appropriate Home Oxygen Order Form (HOOF), the Initial Home Oxygen Risk Mitigation Form (IHORM) is to be completed in conjunction with the Home Oxygen Consent Form (HOCF).  This is because, in order for BOC to provide the equipment and oxygen, information will need to be shared with other organisations in the NHS and any associated risks managed.

BOC stoped accepting orders for Home Oxygen by FAX on 31 October 2019.

Relevant Prescribers  who need to request home oxygen for a patient will need to order this via the BOC Home Oxygen Portal, and will need to register for an account using an NHS.net email.  Further information and support can be found on the clinicians area of the BOC website.

19 March 2020: Videos for patients relating to oxygen installation to assist patients and their carers with BOC's no-contact delivery during this very difficult period are available.
