Cottenham Surgery – Dr Tanya Blumenfeld is leaving

Dr Tanya Blumenfeld currently holds the contract to provide NHS GP services for Cottenham Surgery. Dr Blumenfeld is sadly leaving the surgery due to family circumstances, but arrangements have been made to continue providing GP services in Cottenham.

The new contract will be held by Greater Peterborough Network Limited. The surgery staff are remaining and will continue providing their usual services. Dr Blumenfeld will leave at the end of October.

Dr Blumenfeld said:

“It has been an absolute privilege caring and looking after the patients of Cottenham Surgery. I want to thank them for their trust and for letting me into their lives.

“I am sad to step down from the practice but need to due to family circumstances. The team at the surgery will remain, and I have every faith in them continuing to do a brilliant job of providing excellent services for patients in Cottenham.”

Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) and NHS England and NHS Improvement (NHSEI) would like to thank Dr Blumenfeld for her service to the people who are registered at Cottenham Surgery and wish her well for the future. They have arranged for Greater Peterborough Network Limited to ensure a safe and sustainable NHS GP service continues for patients. This new arrangement will start from 1 November 2021.

This means that NHS GP services will continue at Cottenham Surgery. Patients do not need to take any action and will remain patients of Cottenham Surgery.
