GP practices, pharmacies, NHS hospital and community teams, and the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Clinical Commissioning Group have worked together with support from the Local Authorities and fantastic volunteer teams to put in place plenty of booster capacity across the area.
A wide range of locations are available to enable everyone who is eligible can get their booster easily and quickly. Patients who are due their booster can choose to walk-in at any of the walk-in vaccination clinics across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough, or book their appointment online via www.nhs.uk/covidvaccine or by calling 119. The latest walk-in clinics can be found via www.thevaccinators.co.uk.
Dr Gary Howsam, Chair of the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Clinical Commissioning Group and a local GP, said:
“Half a million people in our area have already come forward for a booster, with more patients attending walk-in clinics and booked appointments every day. We know the booster dose is essential to offer longer lasting protection against severe COVID-19, so it’s really important that everyone who is eligible accepts the offer to get boosted.
“If you didn’t have time over the festive period or if you previously couldn’t get the jab because you had tested positive for COVID-19 and needed to wait 28 days before you could get boosted, please come forward now for this life-saving booster dose.”
