If you have previously been a registered nurse, have a lapsed PIN and wish to return to the profession, we have a return to general practice programme ideal for you.

The programme provides a platform to work with other professionals to update your skills and knowledge, so that you can return to work in nursing with confidence.

Return to general practice nursing course have been refreshed locally so you can enjoy a supportive, flexible and varied learning experience. Courses are available at Anglian Ruskin University and the University of Bedford. Please note the Bedford course is more primary care focused, and the ARU course more generalist.

Training can take as little as seven days at university and 150 hours in a practice placement, depending on how long a nurse has been out of practice. All the courses are nationally funded and run at local universities.

Please email us to register you interest and for more information on returning to nursing
