People in Huntingdon and the Fens who live with, or are affected by, diabetes will be given the opportunity to have their say on how the condition is managed locally and learn more about how to live well with diabetes.
Diabetes UK and NHS Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) are jointly hosting two public events:
Thursday 19 April 2018, 6.30pm - 8.30pm. The Countryside Centre, Hinchingbrooke Country Park, Brampton Road, Huntingdon PE29 6DB
Wednesday 25 April 2018, 6.30pm - 8.30pm. March Town Council, The Town Hall, Market Place, March, Cambs PE15 9JF
The Diabetes Public Engagement event will give local people the opportunity to meet some of the charity’s Eastern team. Key healthcare professionals will also be on hand to give an overview on local diabetes care and what the future holds for people living with, or caring for people, with the condition.
People will also receive up-to-date information on the raft of services available to support people living with Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes.
Representatives from local health care providers will be at the event to ensure all questions surrounding current health care provision and plans for the future can be answered.
Attendees will get the chance to meet other people living with Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes.
