NHS Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) is recruiting for two Lay Members to join our Governing Body:
The Lay Member – Patient and Public Involvement will have a sound understanding of the need for strong and robust patient and public involvement; have a strong focus on patient safety and quality; and have the ability to chair meetings in public effectively. The Lay Member – Patient and Public Involvement will chair the Patient Reference Group and the Primary Care Commissioning Committee which meets in public.
The Lay Member – Assurance will have a sound understanding of assurance processes and financial and performance management; have an understanding of the resource allocations devolved to NHS bodies and a general knowledge of the financial framework within which a CCG operates; have a strong commercial background and have the ability to chair meetings effectively. The Lay Member Assurance will chair the Quality, Outcomes and Performance Committee.
The CCG is responsible for the planning, organising and purchasing of over £1billion worth of healthcare locally. As a clinically-led organisation with 300 employed staff and 102 Member GP Practices, our organisation is complex and one of the largest CCGs in the country with a patient population of circa 950,000.
