''Outstanding'' CQC rating retained by Granta Medical Practices

Granta Medical Practices have retained their “outstanding” Care Quality Commission (CQC) rating following a recent inspection.

Granta Medical Practices, which has five locations in Cambridge and Royston, retained the rating earlier this month after being inspected in October.

The CQC focuses on five domains in all of its inspections: safety, effectiveness, caring, responsiveness and whether a provider is well-led.

Summarising its findings at Granta Medical Practices, the CQC writes that patients were treated with dignity and respect, and that there was a truly holistic approach in place to assessing, planning and delivering care and treatment. The CQC also praised Granta Practices for its person-centre and open culture and its strong team-working.

Commenting, Accountable Officer for the CCG Jan Thomas said:

We’d like to congratulate Granta Practices for retaining their “outstanding” rating after their recent CQC inspection. This rating is great recognition of the fantastic work GPs, practice nurses and support staff do day-in day-out to deliver excellent care to patients. We’d like to thank all staff across the practices for their brilliant service to the NHS.”
