Thistlemoor Road Surgery remains “outstanding”

Thistlemoor Road Surgery in Peterborough has retained its “outstanding” Care Quality Commission (CQC) rating following an inspection in September. Publishing its report last week, the CQC rated Thistlemoor in five domains: safety, effectiveness, caring, responsiveness and whether a provider is well-led.

Summarising its report, the CQC praises the GP practice for having a proactive approach to understanding the needs and preferences of different groups of people. The CQC found that the practice provided innovative approaches to providing integrated person-centred care, and that there was a strong culture of learning and development in place.

Commenting on the achievement, Accountable Officer for the CCG Jan Thomas said:

“On behalf of the CCG, I’d like to congratulate all staff at Thistlemoor Road Surgery for this brilliant achievement, which will come as great news to patients in the area. It is only through the efforts of practice staff that this “outstanding” rating was made possible. We’d like to thank everyone at Thistlemoor for their hard work and dedication to delivering outstanding patient care.”
