Family Carers' Prescription

A Family Carers’ Prescription will give carers of any age (including young carers) registered with a GP surgery within the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) access to a specialist worker at Caring Together who will help you design a short break that works for you and they will also provide support for this break to happen.

You help decide what gives you a break – it may be assistance going out with the person you care for, someone being with the person you care for whilst you do something or it could be something else.

You can access a Carers’ Prescription by speaking to your GP about this service. If you are a health professional looking for further information on the Carers’ Prescription, please contact Caring Together.
